Article 370, featuring Yami Gautam, Priyamani, and Arun Govil, raked in over $3 million in India on its initial Tuesday. Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, “Article 370” had a global theatrical release on February 23. According to Sacnilk.com, the political-action drama has amassed nearly $30 million in India since its premiere. Yami Gautam plays the lead role in the film. Article 370 India box office
The movie generated ₹5.9 crore on its release day, followed by ₹7.4 crore on the second day, ₹9.6 crore on the third day, and ₹3.25 crore on the fourth day. According to early estimates, “Article 370” added another ₹3.25 crore nett to its earnings in India on the fifth day (first Tuesday). Up until now, the film has accumulated ₹29.40 crore in India. Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar are credited as the producers of the film.
About Article 370
Yami portrays the character of Zooni Haksar, an intelligence officer, in the film. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Jammu and Kashmir, the movie revolves around the significant abrogation of Article 370, which granted special constitutional privileges to the former state. The trailer vividly illustrates the rise of terrorism in the region, depicting radicals aiming to gain control.
Yami’s character becomes a part of the NIA and is granted autonomy to undertake a mission in Kashmir, aligning with the government’s commitment to abolish Article 370. Alongside Yami, the film features Priyamani, Arun Govil, and Kiran Karmarkar in pivotal roles. “Article 370” is supported by Jio Studios and Aditya Dhar’s banner B62 Studios. The drama is “inspired by true events that shaped the fate of Kashmir.”
